About your trip

Korean culture truly comes alive when you explore different regions, and my recent trip to Anseong was a perfect example! Thanks to Funday Korea Network, I explored the fascinating world of Namsadang—a traditional Korean performance that combines dance, acrobatics, singing, and percussion. Namsadang is even recognized as an Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity by UNESCO. The performance was both captivating and entertaining. The Baudeogi Festival, starting October 3rd (Thu), is a must-see. Anseong also offers other attractions, such as the Geumgang Lake Sky Observatory, which features breathtaking views. Additionally, we had the opportunity to experience a K-pop class at DIMA Institute. I enjoyed watching and learning about the choreography. It was a wonderful blend of modern and traditional Korean culture, making the trip truly memorable.

TIP

For Namsadang performances, choose comfortable transportation and bring essentials like snacks and water. Dress appropriately for the weather, explore other family-friendly attractions in Anseong, and capture memories for both your family and yourself.
