About your trip

The province of Jeollabuk-do is known for its diverse and tasty foods. We stared our 2D1N journey by tasting famous “Jeonju bibimbap”, which was extremelly delicious, and visited Jeonju Hanok Village, that still contains over 800 Korean traditional houses 'Hanok'. The highlight of the trip was the Magkeolli making and tasting exprerience at Seongsu Brewery. We tasted three flavors of korean rice wine: original, strawberry and plum. While tasting the Magkeolli, we enjoyed a korean traditional music performance. We also visited the Seongsu Brewery and watched the way the Magkeolli is being made. The day ended with a visit to Jeonju Nammun night market, where we tasted korean street food. The nest day, we went to the Cheese Village at Imsil and made mozzarella string cheese by ourselves! We also walked around the Cheese Theme Park and enjoyed pork cutlet (Tonkatsu) with Imsil cheese. Finally, we visited Sunchang Gochujang Village, famous for its unique recipie of red pepper sauce 'Gochujang'. We took part in a cooking workshop, cooked and tasted Tteokbokki, tasted korean traditional deserts such as sweet tteok and snack made of rice. To sum up, this trip was well-organized by Funday Korea Networks, and included various cultural immersion and food tasting activities. I recommend it to everyone who is interested in korean food culture and want to explore the province of Jeollabuk-do.

TIP
