Visiting Seodaemun was on my to-do list in Korea I knew that was one of the most meaningful places from a historical perspective. The program started with a performance by an indie-band 만쥬한봉지 and I was impressed by the beautiful vocals coupled by amazing instrumental music. The band performed both historical song and original pieces and I am sure made everyoned in the audience admire their talent. After that we went on a walking tour during which we were accompanied by a professional guide who kindly translated and explained all the important things. From time to time, we stopped to see the live performance of the incredibly talented actors portraying event that had been taking place in Seodaemun more that 100 years ago. The atmosphere they managed to create immersed the audience in the story, making us empathize and helping to learn more about Korean history. Overall, the Seodaemun tour was very informative and impressive performances made it even more memorable. I would definitely recommend my friends to sign up for future events organized by Funday Korea Networks and supported by all the hardworking volunteers!
