Before embarking on this journey, I had 0 knowledge about the city of Jinju. Little did I know that I would have one of the greatest times in Korea in this southern city of Gyeongsangnam-do. The entire trip was filled with fun-laden activities. It was a familiarisation tour to give foreigners a taste of Jinju. From riding a ship cruise to visiting the historical fortress to the crafts museum, the entire tour was filled with fun-laden activities which I wish I could go for the second time. No cap, but I had the most amazing time in this wonderful city, especially with the city’s dear mascot, Hamo! On the first day, after donning Hanbok, the traditional Korean clothing, we went to the chronicled Jinju Fortress where the mayor of the city, Mr Cho was expecting us. There, he gave a detailed historical description of the city which felt awe-inspiring. Later, we explored other parts of the fortress where we learnt so much more than what history books can tell us. To experience all of them in person was truly blissful. On our second day, we began with a serene Tea-making ceremony. Two veteran celebrants led the ceremony and taught us the manners that come along with the process. We later went to explore the traditional village which was the birthplace of South Korea’s famous conglomerate founders, with special mention of LG and GS Groups founders! We also learnt that the city is termed an entrepreneurial city.

Day 2
08.18
In the beginning, I really did not see the worth of exploring a “traditional Korean village”, as I had already been to many. However, after arriving at the Seungsan Buja village, I realised there's more to just a simple village. It was the birthplace of Korea’s leading conglomerates’ founders - LG & GS and many more. So, I recommend you to visit the place to get the “buja” energy! Also, the scenery hits you.
