About your trip

This is actually one of my favorite national holiday. Not only because it’s glamorous but there’s a lot of things you can do & see in this event especially the spectacular parade! The temple adorned with colorful lanterns will just take your breath away! It’s just beautiful. A week ahead of Buddhas birthday, on a weekend, the street in front of Jogyesa temple is closed for various programs. Several booths are opened and cultural activities are prepared such as lantern making, Buddhist cheer rally, joining meditation group and more! you can also try temple food! There are also Cultural performances taking place representing different countries! I highly recommend this when you visit Korea in May!

TIP

You can come really early to avoid crowds when taking pictures and also late at night as well when lanterns are beautifully illuminated! 🏮
