Pyeongchang is located in the mountains so the weather is really freezing in winter - I would recommend wearing multiple thick layers of clothing (including heat tech, gloves, warm socks, etc) along with hot packs to carry in your pockets as you will be walking outside a lot.
Last week I visited Pyeongchang, a small city in the mountainous province of Gangwon, and full of unique touristic attractions if you just know where to look!
Day 1
12.18BUS
We started the trip with a very comfortable KTX ride from Seoul Station to Pyeongchang. Then a bus picked us from the train station and took us to Woljeongsa (μμ μ¬): a Buddhist temple slightly hidden in the quiet forest by the river.

Then we had lunch at Jeonggangwon, a traditional restaurant that only uses local ingredients from Gangwon province to make classic Korean dishes. The staff actually made bibimbap right in front of our eyes so it was really interesting to watch the process.

We continued with Jinbu traditional market (μ§λΆμ ν΅μμ₯) - if youβre looking for traditional Korean snacks, fresh fruits/vegetables and more, this is the place to go. The market merchants are really nice and tend to give you a discount without even having to ask for it!

Finally, we ended the day at Daegwallyeong Sheep Farm (λκ΄λ Ή μλΌλͺ©μ₯) - a large farm high by the hill where you can pet and feed the sheep! You also have a really nice view of the surrounding snowy mountains.
