*Who are K-UNESCO Adventurers?
K-UNESCO Adventures is a project held by KOCIS(Korean Culture and Information Service).
In this project ex-pats from all over the world who were gathered for this project explored various UNESCO heritage and hidden gems of Korea.

On Friday, October 23, Sam from Ghana and Meggie from the USA set off to explore Suwon, the biggest city in Gyeonggi Province. Even though the weather started to get cold, our K-UNESCO Adventurers were so excited to discover another UNESCO heritage!
However, their Suwon Adventure actually started in Yongin Daejanggeum Park, a huge outdoor filming set where the shooting of many Korean dramas took place. Meggie and Sam were super excited to find out that this place was a filming location for ‘Daechwita’, BTS Suga’s solo music video! They both dressed up as Suga from different MV locations and were all ready to explore the place. They walked down the old market street, danced in front of the royal palace and even tried copying the moves from BTS music video! Daejanggeum Park was a lot of fun, but it was time to move on to the highlight of the day.
When Sam and Meggie came to Suwon they were amazed at how impressive Hwaseong fortress was! The fortress was constructed as a display of King Jeongjo’s filial piety towards his father in 18th century is now a UNESCO World Heritage site. Our K-UNESCO Adventurers took a walk along the walls of the ancient fortress talking about history until they came to a place where everyone can try archery. In the old times Korean people were really famous for their archery skills, so Sam and Meggie were curious if they are as good at it as Joseon people were!
We finished the day on a yacht cruise in Jeongok port, feeding seagulls and dancing non-stop. Meeting the magnificent sunset while sitting on the yacht and listening to the sound of the waves: what a perfect adventure it was!
