For a first-time visitor, I’d recommend bringing an umbrella, since it was raining during the festival. Also, bring some cash — there was a market where you could buy local products at really good prices.

We left for the festival at 9 a.m. and arrived in Anseong in about an hour. For the next six hours, we could freely explore and enjoy the festival. It was an amazing experience — there was a market, traditional games, hanbok fitting, and even traditional performances, including a wedding ceremony. The place itself was beautiful. I saw the most stunning bridge surrounded by lotuses for the first time, and there was even a Stonehenge-like spot on the hill. Overall, it was such a lovely and cozy festival that really showed the beauty of traditional Korea.
