Hello! I was able to go to a 90 minute-2ish hour long show in Seoul, between Seodaemun and Gwanghwamun called "The Painters Show!" Alongside my friend, we enjoyed this show during the early afternoon on Saturday and the concept of the show is watching different artists perform all kinds of art styles and pieces! I'm unsure if the art is different for every single show/season, so I won't spoil on exactly the results that we saw, but in terms of the concepts we saw: - Action Painting (Intense, all artists working together across the canvases) - Dust painting - UV Light Painting - Marbling / Water Colours - 'Master Pieces' Across the different acts, there were dance/choreographies included also. The music and the dance alongside the art work kept my attention as everything felt incredibly snappy. The artists worked alongside one another and even at times there was just a singular artist. The show also includes the audience for other small events, like drawing the artist, or just taking part in the show and becoming an artist actor yourself. There was even a chance to win the art that the artists made themselves too! There's lots of moments of interaction between the actors, the art and the audience. Even after the show ended and you're making your way out - you have the chance to take photos alongside the artists! I'd highly recommend checking out The Painters Show. I believe we watched Season 2 of their show, so it would definitely be interesting to see how future shows and seasons work out!
It's better to get there a little early before the show starts to get your seats and everything ready. You can't film/take pictures throughout the show but there's a section/time when photography is allowed! Definitely a time to unwind while having fun!
