Things to Prepare

Things to Prepare: 1. A light or medium jacket: I visited in autumn, and the temperature occasionally dropped quite a bit, so it's best to be prepared. 2. Snacks and bottled water: You’ll be walking around Taejongdae Park, and food options inside are limited. It's a good idea to bring your own. 3. A hat or sunglasses: If it's sunny, these will help protect your eyes from the glare.

Transportation

BUS, WALK

About your trip

I had an unforgettable experience at Taejongdae Park. I went there from Nampo by bus, which took about an hour. The journey was totally worth it for the refreshing and peaceful atmosphere. I got to enjoy views of the open sea and passing ships, and there was a small food stall at the bottom of the cliff selling seafood dishes. It was heartwarming to see the harmony between the vendors and the visitors. In addition, there are several spots within Taejongdae Park that you can explore by taking the Danubi train on a round trip. I visited the lighthouse, the observatory, and Gumyeong Temple during my trip.

TIP

Tips: Visiting around early morning (8-9 am) or afternoon (4 pm) is a good idea—the softer light creates a more pleasant atmosphere and enhances the view, without the harsh glare of direct sunlight.
