It was my first time visiting Korea in September, and I wanted to explore historical and cultural sites, so I went on a trip. One of the places I visited was Daeguk Mountain Fortress. At first, I had never even heard of it, but a local and our guide told us about its history, which was deeply meaningful. That’s why it still remains in my memory. Daeguksanseong (Daeguk Mountain Fortress) is a historic mountain fortress in Korea, built as a defensive stronghold. Like many mountain fortresses from the Three Kingdoms period, Goryeo, and Joseon dynasties, it was strategically constructed using the natural mountainous terrain to protect against external invasions. Daeguksanseong likely served as a key military site, playing a crucial role in regional defense. This experience made me appreciate Korea’s rich history even more.
